"Well..." the man drawled, tapping his chin with his forefinger. "Like I said, it was peer pressure. They shouldn't've caved. They should've staid true to their belief system. It's not like they're brainless half-wits." He smiled. "I take that title."
Sadie's jaw dropped, and she pointed at the man. "Y-y-you're..."
"I'm what, sweetheart?" the man said, turning his chocolate brown eyes on Sadie.
She began to tremble.
The man jabbed his thumb at her. "Is she okay?"
"BLIMEY!" Sadie screamed, her face melting into a beaming smile. "You're...you're...I love you, man. Can I--can I hug you?"
The man began to laugh. "Sure."
Sadie flung her arms around his abdomen.
